Bailey has been my brothers best friend since they were 4 years old. Bailey is now 17. 13 years have gone by since I have known him, so when he contacted me about taking his senior pictures, I was almost in disbelief. I am mainly just in shock of what a handsome, young man he has become. I can still picture him in my brother's room playing with race cars and running around in the yard, but while I was taking pictures of him, he was telling me about his goal of going into the medical field like his dad. I am just so blessed to have seen such a special boy grow into a man. Here are just a few of the pictures I felt like best represented who Bailey has become. You raised a good one, Liza & Ross!! and of course. :)

On the list of my favorite people ever, Emily is definitely towards the top of that list.
Her kind heart radiates an energy and warmth into the lives of those around her. Her laughter is absolutely contagious. In the midst of the crazy lives we live, she is always willing to sacrifice for others and listen. She is talented. She is adventurous. She is H I L A R I O U S. Okay, I could go on and on about Emily but I will leave you with this: She gave me brownies and three fall scented candles for these pictures, so I absolutely love her. Emily, You are a beautiful and wonderful human. The Lord has used you in my life to bring me joy in several instances, and I am so thankful for you. Enjoy these pictures where you are lookin SO GOOD. Brains & Beauty at Ivy Creek Natural AreaMegan and I have known each other for several years. We went to the same youth group back in the day, and she has always been such a sweetheart. I was thrilled when I was contacted by her mother to take her senior pictures! Through the grace of God, we were able to work with both of our crazy schedules and the ever-changing and unpredictable weather. God blessed us with a clear sky and I was able to capture some beautiful sides of Megan. She was able to hold up in the heat a LOT better than I was (I was actually dripping sweat... tmi?). However, she did come out of it with 16 ticks on her, but for the sake of photography, it was worth it.
Megan is a rising senior at Albemarle High School thinking about studying psychology at either William and Mary or JMU (you can only guess where I would like her to go ;) ). She is beautiful and driven, and I cannot wait to see what the Lord has in store for her! This girl is a ball of joy. I have known Kaley for several years now- I got the pleasure of growing in my faith at youth group with her! Kaley is as sweet as they come; she is filled with laughter, love, intelligence, and spirit. She's lived in Virginia for quite some time now, but is picking up her bags to finish her senior year in Maryland. Everyone is super sad to see her go, but to me, she will always live in Virginia the next county over from mine (you could say I am in denial). With big plans for her future, including college, this beautiful soul has a lot ahead of her and definitely has the perseverance to go through with it.
We were able to take these beautiful pictures at the historic Montpelier mansion and garden. I had never been there before, and I was super excited to get special access from Kaley and her mom! Kaley- I wish you the best of luck with your senior year. I WILL see you soon! Love you! There's no surprise that being my sister has its perks. First of all, you get to see me all the time (which is awesome). Secondly, you get free photoshoots whenever. My older sister, Kelsey, has definitely taken advantage of that.
Kelsey is going to be finishing up her last year at CNU this upcoming fall. She is an English major (if you ever need someone to proof-read an essay, she's your girl) LOVES writing. It's actually her strong-suit if you ask me. I could go on and on about how lovely Kelsey is, but instead, I'll just show you some pictures we took the other day right before the sun set. PS- some of these pictures feature our adorable corgi-chihuahua puppy, Delta. I had the pleasure of taking Noelle's pictures at the same time as Erin's! This girl is adorable; her laugh is contagious and her smile is absolutely perfect. Noelle was really hesitant at the beginning of the shoot, but instantly opened up and discovered being in front of the camera wasn't too bad. She knows how to nail the hand-in-hair pose for sure. Noelle is also anticipating an admission letter to JMU to follow in her parents footsteps. It was so fun working with Noelle!
Ladies and gentlemen, the beautiful and talented Erin! I have known this girl for about 5 years now and she is just a joy to be around. There is a never a moment this girl isn't filled with enthusiasm and happiness. She is an amazing singer, is extremely involved with performing arts at the high school, and is anticipating an admittance letter to James Madison (fingers crossed)! I had a lot of fun capturing her natural beauty- she certainly knows how to work the spotlight. :)
I have no words. I was looking through all of the shoots I have done and came across the one I took of my boyfriend the summer of 2013. Darren is one of the most technologically savvy people you will ever meet. He is the sweetest, smartest, and funniest guy I have ever known. Seriously, he can make me laugh more than anyone. We took his pictures at his great-grandma's farm; it held a ton of childhood memories. I didn't mind taking Darren's pictures, because that meant I could stare at his face for hours while editing them. ;)
I was so excited when Konnor came to me. Konnor was one of the first friends I had when my family decided to switch churches. He is an amazing drum player, extremely smart, and just an overall friendly guy. He was the first guy I had photographed for senior portraits, so needless today I was very nervous about posing him. However, he and I together made it work, and his photos turned out great! and of course, the most adorable mother-son picture ever!
There's so much I have to say about this girl. She has been my best friend since I was in 8th grade, and without her, I wouldn't be the person I am today. Issi is one of the most outgoing girls you'll ever meet and can make anyone smile with her cheesy jokes. She can totally pull of the nose ring and any outfit she tries on. Issi has a huge heart and a deep love for God. I couldn't have been happier to take my best friend's senior portraits!
